Chislehurst Invicta Scout Group, exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development. Our primary purpose is to help youth reach their full potential as empowered individuals and responsible citizens.
Chislehurst Invicta aims to instill values like integrity, respect, and care for others. By following the Scout Promise and Law, members learn to take responsibility for themselves and their community.
Beyond just "knots and camping," the purpose is to provide a practical education that isn't always found in a classroom. This includes:
Leadership & Teamwork: Learning how to lead a patrol and work effectively with peers.
Resilience: Overcoming challenges during outdoor activities and expeditions.
Practical Abilities: From first aid and navigation to cooking and DIY.
A key part of their "Invicta" spirit is being an active part of the Chislehurst community. The group encourages young people to make a positive contribution to society through service projects and local events.
The group provides a safe environment for young people to take risks and explore the outdoors. This helps build self-confidence and a sense of wonder about the natural world.
Chislehurst Invicta has been a cornerstone of our community since 1909. To keep providing incredible skills for life to our Beavers, Cubs,Scouts, and Explorers we are looking for adults, parents, and guardians to join our support team.
You don't need to be a "Bear Grylls" to help! Whether you have a specific skill or just a spare hour, we would love to hear from you.
Our headquarters at the Recreation Ground is a fantastic community hub, but it needs T.L.C. to stay safe and welcoming.
DIY-Savvy? We need help with minor repairs, painting, or shelf-fitting.
Green Fingers? Help us keep the area around the cabin tidy.
General Skills: If you're a plumber, electrician, or handyman, your professional advice is invaluable!
Our sections are growing, and we want to ensure every child gets the attention they deserve.
Occasional Helpers: Join us once a month to help run a game or supervise a craft.
Skills Sharing: Do you have a hobby? (Coding, cooking, navigation, or photography?) Come run a one-off session for a badge!
Full Leadership: Join the uniformed team and help shape the next generation of Chislehurst leaders.
We know everyone is busy. Whether it’s one hour a month for a committee meeting or one afternoon a year for a maintenance "working party," your contribution makes a massive difference.
Interested in helping? Please speak to one of the leaders at drop-off. Even the smallest bit of help ensures we stay "Unconquered!"
